Saatva Expands Florida Presence with New Viewing Room in Water Street Tampa
The DTC mattress company opens its second location in Florida.
Saatva, the Smarter Luxury Sleep Company, continues its expansion in the Sunshine State with the grand opening of its second Florida Viewing Room in Water Street Tampa. Following the success of its Orlando debut in November 2023, this new 3,785-square-foot location at 908 E Cumberland Ave invites customers to explore Saatva’s luxurious sleep products in an immersive, tech-forward environment that reimagines the traditional mattress shopping experience.

An Elevated Design Experience
Saatva Tampa showcases the latest step in the company’s retail design journey, conceptualized by Hines Collective, an interior design and management company that works on luxury residential and commercial projects, and Ware Malcomb, an award-winning multidisciplinary architecture and design firm. Hines Collective integrates modern touches and emphasizes the physical interpretation of Smarter Luxury Sleep. It complements Ware Malcomb's design and construction approach, which provides an elegant and sophisticated experience in one of Florida's most luxurious shopping areas.
“One of the first elements you experience is the incredible architecture of the ceiling,” said Devin Hines. With its undulating lines, the coved ceiling guides visitors through the store as other design features layer on and contribute to that flow. Numerous ‘wow’ moments throughout the interior create an elegant yet digitally elevated shopping experience. Like all Saatva Viewing Rooms, Saatva Tampa is designed to be a relaxed, self-guided space where customers can use technology to interact with and learn about products at their own pace.
From the moment a visitor enters the space, the Viewing Room redefines the traditional mattress-buying experience. With its aromatic fragrance, subdued color palette, warm lighting, sustainable flooring, and textured wall treatments, Saatva Tampa offers an inviting respite. Further into the space, silvery trees form a canopy under the ceiling’s gentle curves. Soft fabrics and floor-to-ceiling mirrors punctuate the walls throughout, creating a unified environment from start to finish. In keeping with Saatva's "made in America" philosophy, interior materials and finishes, including the architectural lighting, were manufactured in the U.S.A.
In addition to showcasing Saatva’s full lineup of made-to-order luxury mattresses—featuring innerspring, memory foam, latex, hybrid, adjustable air, youth, and crib options, Saatva’s suite of organic bedding products is also on display, including the new silky-soft Signature Sateen Duvet Cover Set and breathable Essential Luxury Duvet Cover Set, perfect for upgrading one’s sleep sanctuary as the cooler months approach.
Cutting-Edge Technology
Thanks to a long-standing retail technology partnership with Samsung, this Viewing Room is outfitted with state-of-the-art displays and the latest behavior-sensing technology to help customers discover, personalize, and build their ideal sleep experience. In addition to the digital “hero” wall, composed of nine Samsung VM46T-U 46-inch Full HD Ultra-Narrow Bezel Video Wall Displays, information kiosks at each bed display allow visitors to interact with the collection at their own pace, with knowledgeable Sleep Guides on hand to assist and answer questions.

As customers explore bedding, pillows, and other top-of-bed accessories an LED display embedded in the accessories wall changes to display pertinent product information. In the children’s bed area, kids can interact with the Flip, a 55-inch whiteboard with a touch screen for drawing.
“Samsung’s technology allows us to optimize and automate store campaigns and the product information based on real-time integrated data to deliver the content and information that our customers care about most when shopping,” said Rudzin.
